Liotta Hired to Serve as Associate A.D. for Student Welfare

Brandi Laurita, director of athletics at The University of Findlay, announced the hiring of Lisa Liotta as the associate athletic director for student welfare on Oct. 16. Liotta will begin at Findlay on Dec. 1.

“We are very excited about adding Lisa Liotta to our Oiler family,” said Laurita. “She is a welcome addition that brings a vast amount of experience and new ideas to help shape our student-athlete experience at The University of Findlay.”

Liotta has been serving as the assistant athletic director for sport operations and student development at Lake Erie since 2011.

“I am grateful for all of the opportunities given to me during my tenure within Lake Erie and am extremely honored to become a member of the Oiler family,” said Liotta. “This is a great opportunity and I am excited to utilize my experiences as an athlete, coach and administrator to contribute to the overall success of the athletic department.  I look forward to working with Brandi and the rest of the Oilers staff as we work to continue building successful programs, students and athletes.”

Liotta joined the Lake Erie athletic department as the athletic facilities and event management coordinator and assistant softball coach in August 2007. She added student development responsibilities in 2010 before her most recent promotion.

As an assistant athletic director at Lake Erie, Liotta directed the game day operations for the Storm’s 19 athletic teams. She also served as the advisor for the Lake Erie Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). She was also selected to serve as a member of the NCAA Women’s Soccer National Committee (2015-2018) and has experience serving on the NCAA Regional Advisory Committee for Women's Tennis (2013-15) and the NCAA Postgraduate Regional Scholarship Selection Committee (2014-2018).

She is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators (NACWAA) and serves on the organization's Education and Awards Committees as well as the selection committee for the NCAA Career in Sports Forum (2010-2013). Liotta is a graduate of the NCAA/NACWAA Institute for Administrative Advancement and participated in the NACDA/ADA NCAA Division II Mentor Program for the 2012-13 academic year. 

Liotta is a magna cum laude graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College with a bachelor of arts degree in sport management business administration and athletic coaching. She was a three-year varsity player for the Yellow Jackets, serving as team captain and earning first team all-Ohio Athletic Conference all-academic and academic All-American honors.

The Chardon, Ohio, native completed her master’s degree in business administration from Lake Erie as well.
