The 2017 NCAA Division II Women's Golf National Championship will be held at the Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio on May 17-20. The tournament will feature 12 of the best teams in the nation in addition to 12 individuals who qualified for the event at regionals.

Team Capsules

Arkansas Tech

Arkansas Tech won the Super Region 3 tournament by 13 strokes to qualify for the championship. They have won four tournaments this season and enter the national championship ranked 23rd in the nation. This will also mark the third time in the past four years that they have qualified for the national championship.

Sophomore Pia Nunbhakdi led Arkansas Tech at the regional, coming away with a championship victory with a score of 221 (+8). She is only the second Arkansas Tech women's golfer to win a regional title.

Augustana

Augustana finished as the runner-up in Super Region 3 and will be making their ninth appearance in the national championship. They have had a history of high finishes at the regional, finishing in the top-two eight times since 2008. They have also captured eight straight Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) championships.

Junior Kali Trautman leads the team and has won two straight Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) titles.

Barry

Barry, who has been the national runner-up twice (2002, 2014) won the Super Region 2 tournament for the first time in school history to qualify for the championship. They are the top-ranked team in the nation and have won four events this season.

Sophomore Tilda Larsson and junior Charlotte Puts lead the squad and are two of the top golfers in the nation. Larsson ranks second among all NCAA Division II golfers in scoring average at 73.12 while Puts is ranked third at 73.43.

Dallas Baptist

Dallas Baptist qualified for the championship by taking second at the Super Region 4 tournament. They head into the championship ranked second nationally and have won eight tournaments this season.

Sophomore Ann Parmerter, who ranks sixth nationally with a scoring average of 73.80, leads the team and was named All-American last season. She is a two-time Heartland Conference Player of the Year and was voted the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) NCAA Division II Freshman of the Year after the 2015-16 campaign.

Indianapolis

Indianapolis enters the event as the sixth-ranked team in the nation. The Greyhounds have won eight tournaments this year including the Super Regional title. They captured the 2015 NCAA Division II National Championship and were the runner-up last year.

Indianapolis has three golfers ranked in the top-50 nationally in scoring average. Freshman Pilar Echeverria ranks fifth in NCAA Division II with a scoring average of 73.60 and is followed closely by sophomore Katharina Keilich, who ranks eighth at 73.85. Junior Annika Haynes is averaging 75.93 strokes per round, the 45th-best total in the nation.

Grand Valley St.

Grand Valley State, who has twice been a national runner-up (2005, 2009), heads into the event ranked 30th among all NCAA Division II teams. They reached the championship by finishing second at the Super Region 1 tournament.

The Lakers have a balanced team and have been led by freshman Katie Chipman, who was named first team all-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

Henderson St.

Henderson State finished third at the Super Region 3 tournament to qualify for the championship event. They are currently ranked 46th among all NCAA Division II teams and will be making their first appearance at the national championship.

Sophomore Luisa Gartmann leads the team and picked up first team all-Great American Conference (GAC) honors this season. Freshman Taylor Loeb was also named the GAC Freshman of the Year.

Lee

Lee advanced to the national championship by winning a playoff against Nova Southeastern in the Super Region 2 tournament to take third place at the event. Lee, who is ranked 11th in the nation, will be appearing in the national championship for the first time in school history.

Junior Sam Burrus leads the team and is averaging 75.33 strokes per round, the 23rd-best mark in the nation. She is a two-time, first team all-Gulf South Conference (GSC) selection.

Missouri St.-Louis

Missouri St.-Louis is ranked 18th nationally and qualified for the championship with a third place finish at the Super Region 1 tournament. They have won five tournaments this season and have experience playing at the Findlay Country Club as they won the Bing-Beall Fall Classic earlier this season on Oct. 9-10.

Sophomore Maxi Roth leads the squad and is ranked 49th in the nation with a scoring average of 75.96. Junior Stefaniya Ivanova is also having a great season and ranks 95th nationally with 76.96 strokes per round.

Rollins

Rollins, the third-ranked team in the nation, finished as the runner-up in Super Region 2. A national powerhouse for years, Rollins will be looking to defend their national title from one year ago. Overall, Rollins has won six national championships since 2003 and has been the national runner-up six times since 2000.

Junior Lexie Toth leads the team and is currently ranked 33rd in the country with a 75.56 scoring aveage. Freshman Seher Atwal, senior Paige Lyle and freshman Selin Timur also post scoring averages that rank in the top-70 among all NCAA Division II golfers. Atwal is ranked 50th (75.97), Lyle is ranked 67th (76.44) and Timur is ranked 70th (76.48)

St. Mary's

St. Mary's heads into the championship ranked 12th in the nation. They are coming off of a third place finish at the Super Region 4 tournament and have won five events this season.

Sophomore Maria Regina Gonzalez leads the team and is ranked 20th in the nation in scoring average at 75.00. Fellow sophomore Paige Weiss is right behind her and is ranked 28th at 75.52.

West Texas A&M

West Texas A&M captured the Super Region 4 title and will be making their third trip to the national championship. Earlier this season West Texas A&M made the journey to Findlay to compete in the Bing-Beall Classic and came away with a fifth place finish.

Individually, junior Mattye Mason leads the squad with a scoring average of 76.23, which ranks 59th in the nation. Freshman Jelina Fernando is also ranked in the top-100, checking in 98th with 77.09 strokes per round.

Individual Capsules

Linnea Karlsson, Cal State-Monterey Bay

Karlsson, a sophomore, placed fourth at the Super Region 4 tournament with a score of 224 (+8). She is the first women's golfer from Cal State-Monterey Bay to ever advance to the national championship.

Anna Pool, Central Oklahoma

Pool took sixth place at the Super Region 3 tournament with a 228 (+15). Only a freshman, Pool was named honorable mention all-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) this season.

Brittany LaPadula, Florida Tech

LaPadula finished as the runner-up at the Super Region 2 tournament with a 222 (+6). A senior, LaPadula is ranked 11th nationally with a 74.15 scoring average. She will making her second trip to nationals as she qualified in 2015 as well.

Hannah Perkins, Ft. Hays St.

Perkins, a sophomore, shot a 226 (+13) at the Super Region 3 tournament to finish fifth. She is the first Fort Hays State golfer to ever advance to the championship event.

Camden Morrison, Franklin Pierce

Morrison, who is ranked 40th in the nation with a scoring average of 75.82, was the runner-up at the Super Region 1 tournament with a 217 (+1). A junior, Morrison is the first Franklin Pierce golfer to qualify for the national championship. She has also won six tournaments this season.

Chong Yong, Missouri Western St.

Yong, a freshman, tied for seventh at the Super Region 3 tournament with a 229 (+16) and won a playoff to punch her ticket to the national championship.

Mary Weinstein, Regis

Weinstein was invited to the national championship, replacing another player who fell ill the week of the tournament.

Marie Coors, St. Leo

Coors, a two-time All-American, finished third at the Super Region 2 tournament with a 223 (+7) to punch her ticket to the national championship. The junior is the top-ranked women's golfer in NCAA Division II with a scoring average of 71.93. She is also tied for second among all women's golfers with 80 birdies on the season.

Kiira Riihijarvi, Tampa

Riihijarvi, only a freshman, won the Super Region 2 tournament with a 220 (+4). The 54-hole score set new school record at Tampa.

Casey Wild, Tarleton St.

Wild finished as the runner-up in the Super Region 4 tournament with a 7-over par score of 223. The junior helped lead Tarleton State to a sixth place finish at the national championship last year and was named all-region.

Alexa Rippy, Trevecca Nazarene

Rippy, a senior who is ranked 17th in the nation with a scoring average of 74.90, finished fourth at the Super Region 1 tournament with a 3-over par score of 219. A three-time Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) medalist, Rippy is the first Trevecca player to advance to the national championship.

Alex Trask, William Jewell

Trask took eighth at the Super Region 1 tournament with a 226 (+10) to qualify for the championship. A junior, Trask is ranked 91st in the nation with a scoring average of 76.90.
