Oilers Capture 3rd Straight Presidents' Cup

2020-21 Presidents' Cup Standings

The University of Findlay department of athletics has captured their third straight Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Presidents' Cup as the league office unveiled their final standings on June 1.

The G-MAC Presidents' Cup is awarded each year to the member institution that collects the highest tally of points based on regular season winning percentage (standings) or individual meet results (sports with no conference regular season schedule) through the athletic year. The Oilers scored 145.5 points in the standings for the 2020-21 season, 11 points higher than Walsh University who finished as the runner-up.

The Oilers captured five conference titles during the 2020-21 campaign as men's swimming and diving won their fourth straight G-MAC championship while women's golf won their third straight. In addition, the Oilers women's soccer team, women's outdoor track and field team, and the men's indoor track and field team all captured championships as well.

"Winning the Presidents' Cup for a third consecutive season is truly a testament to the resolve and dedication of our coaches and student-athletes, especially in a year like this," said Director of Athletics, Brandi Laurita. "We do not take this honor lightly and are incredibly proud of the accomplishments by all of our teams. This award represents a true team effort by everyone at the University of Findlay and we are grateful to again be named Presidents' Cup Champions."
