Bio

Greg Gilbert is in his 23rd year with the Oilers and heads up their compliance efforts.

During his tenure at Findlay, Gilbert has served on several NCAA Division II committees for track and field, cross country and men’ soccer dating back to 2003.
 
From 2003-07, Gilbert served on the track and field/cross country committees and also was a part of the rules committee for the sports from 2004-07 while serving as the chair from 2006-07.
 
From 2005-10, Gilbert served on the Midwest Region men’s soccer ranking committee, acting as the chair from 2007-10.  During the 2007-11 timeframe, Gilbert also was a part of the men’s soccer championship committee.
 
Gilbert began his professional career as an assistant football coach at Findlay after stints as a student assistant and graduate assistant coach at the University of Akron and the University of Toledo, respectively.
 
As an assistant on the Oilers staff from 1988-94, Gilbert helped Findlay win the 1992 NAIA National Championship while also working in the admissions office for the university.
 
From 1994-99, Gilbert was an assistant football coach at Walsh University while also serving as the compliance coordinator and assistant athletic director before returning to Findlay to coach the offensive line in 1999.
 
Gilbert was a three-year letter winner in football at the University of Akron, receiving his degree in 1986.  He later earned his master’s degree from the University of Toledo in 1991.
 
Gilbert resides in Findlay with his wife, Shelly.  They have two sons, Eric and Adam, and a daughter, Erin.
