Rockhurst Sweeps Oilers

The University of Findlay baseball team dropped two games to Rockhurst University on Monday, March 7 in Winter Haven, Florida. Findlay was defeated 5-1 in the first game and nipped 2-1 in the second to give them a 0-4 record on the season.

In the first game, Matt Weber was saddled with the loss after allowing four runs, only two earned, six innings of work. He gave up eight hits and struck out five.

Dylan Cintula led the offense with a pair of hits.

In the second game, the Oilers gave up two runs in the bottom of the sixth to seal their fate as Drew Hargrove took the loss.

Hargrove allowed two runs on five hits in 5.1 innings of work, striking out six batters.

Jason Reitenbach went 2-for-2 with a run scored while Ross Tonyan drove in the Oilers run with a single in the fourth.

The Oilers will be back in action again tomorrow with two games against Northern State.
