Oilers Lose 2 On Opening Day

The University of Findlay baseball team began their season with a pair of losses to West Virginia Wesleyan on Sunday, March 6 in Winter Haven, Florida. The Oilers lost 11-4 in the first game and 5-3 in the second.

In the first game, Nathaniel Fitch went 2-for-3 with two runs-batted-in while Tommy Roush also picked up a pair of hits.

Ryan Rothenbuhler took the loss after allowing ten runs, seven earned, on 11 hits in 4.1 innings of action.

In the second game, Victor Migliore and Reid Rothenbuhler each drove in a run as Aaron Geis was saddled with the loss.

Geis allowed four earned runs in 4.2 innings of work.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Monday with a twin bill against Rockhurst.
