Warrios Top Oilers

The University of Findlay baseball team lost a pair of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) games on Friday, March 25 to Wayne State University. The Oilers lost the first game of the twin bill by a score of 2-1 and then fell 7-3 in the second contest to run their record to 2-9-1 on the year.

In the first game, Matt Weber allowed only one run on four hits in eight innings of work while Derek Draper took the loss after surrendering one run in the ninth.

The Oilers got a double from Reid Rothenbuhler and singles from Jason Reitenbach, Robert Marsh and Kyle Wilson.

Victor Migliore drove in the Oilers lone run on a ground out in the first.

In the second game, the Oilers gave up four runs in the second as Drew Hargrove took the loss by allowing six runs on 12 hits in five innings of action.

Tommy Roush drove in a run for the Oilers on a single in the sixth while Reitenbach, Migliore and Dylan Cintula all scored in the game.

The Oilers will be back in action again tomorrow with a twin bill against the Warriors. The doubleheader will begin at 1 pm inside Fifth Third Field.
