Panthers Sweep Oilers In Columbus
The University of Findlay baseball team was swept by Ohio Dominican University on Thursday, March 31 in Columbus, Ohio. The Oilers lost the first game 3-1 and then fell 9-8 in the second to give them a 2-13-1 record on the year with a 0-6 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).
In the first game, Ethan James (1-2) was saddled with the loss after allowing three runs on five hits in six innings of action.
Dylan Cintula finished the game 1-for-2 and drove in the Oilers lone run.
In the nightcap, Matt Weber allowed eight runs on 11 hits in five innings of action while Troy Balduf (0-1) took the loss after surrendering one run in one inning.
Kyle Wilson went 2-for-3 at the plate with three runs batted in while Tommy Roush went 2-for-2 with a run scored.
Victor Migliore added two RBI's for the Oilers in the loss.
The Oilers will be back in action again on April 2 when they host Saginaw Valley State University for a doubleheader beginning at 1 pm.
