Oilers Split With Eagles

The University of Findlay baseball team split a twin bill against Ashland University on Saturday, April 30 at Fifth Third Field to give them a 13-27-1 record on the season with a 10-19 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Oilers won the first game 3-2 as Tommy Roush drove in Dustin Zielaskiewicz, who singled to lead off the bottom of the seventh, in the final at bat.

Matt Weber threw a complete game to get the victory, allowing two runs on nine hits.

Roush finished the game 2-for-3 with two runs-batted-in while Kyle Wilson hit a solo home run in the fifth.

The Oilers lost the second game 7-5 as they ended the game scoring one in the seventh while leaving two on base.

Ryan Rothenbuhler took the loss after surrendering seven runs on 11 hits in seven innings of action.

Wilson finished 3-for-3 at the plate with two RBI's and two runs scored while Robert Marsh added a pair of hits to aid the Oilers offense.

The Oilers will be back in action again tomorrow when they host the Eagles at 1 pm.
