Dragons Top Oilers

The University of Findlay baseball team was swept by Tiffin University on Thursday, April 7 in Tiffin, Ohio. The Oilers lost the first game of the doubleheader 7-4 and then fell 2-1 in the second to give them a 4-17 record on the season with a 2-10 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

In the first game, Ethan James (1-3) took the loss by allowing seven runs on nine hits in four innings of action.

Reid Rothenbuhler and Tommy Roush each had two hits while Dylan Cintula, Robert Marsh and David Cort each drove in a run.

Matt Weber (0-2) allowed two runs, only one earned, in the nightcap to take the loss.

Weber allowed only six hits in six innings, striking out five and walking one along the way.

Jason Reitenbach had two hits and scored the Oilers lone run after being hit in by Cintula.

The Oilers will be back in action again on April 9 when they travel to Hillsdale, Michigan for the first of four games over the weekend. They will play two games on Saturday and also Sunday with a 1 pm start time each day.
