The University of Findlay Oilers baseball team split a pair to end their four game series against Ashland University on Sunday, April 29th in Ashland, Ohio.

In the first game, the Oilers only run came when Reid Rothenbuhler singled to left field to score Blake Schmenk in the sixth inning.

Rothenbuhler finished the game going 2-for-3 while David Cort, Victor Migliore and Schmenk recorded the only other hits for the Oilers in the 9-1 loss.

Findlay bounced back in game two, scoring seven runs in the first three innings to win 8-1.

Christian led the way for Findlay from the leadoff spot going 2-for-3 with two RBIs and scored twice.  Garrett Busch and Dustin Zielaskiewicz each recorded two hits and an RBI of their own in the game.

Derek Draper went the distance picking up his second win of the year allowing one run on six hits while striking out six.

The split pushes the Oilers overall record to 16-29 with a 9-23 mark in GLIAC play.  They will be back in action on Saturday, May 5th at home in their final series against Northwood.
