Baseball Picked to Finish 11th

The University of Findlay baseball team was picked to finish 11th in the 2013 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Preseason Coaches Poll, which was released on Feb. 20.

The Oilers received 30 points in the poll as Grand Valley State University took top honors with 117 points and seven first place votes.

Findlay finished last season with a 20-29 record and will be led by head coach Troy Berry, who has racked up 192 victories to leave him seven shy of the school record for career wins.

Senior Tommy Roush headlines the list of returning players after earning first team all-conference honors last season after posting a .381 batting average with 40 runs batted in.  The Kettering, Ohio native was also voted second team all-Midwest Region and hit a team-high 17 doubles for the Oilers as a junior.
