Oilers Lose A Pair To Grand Valley

The University of Findlay baseball team lost a pair of games against Grand Valley State University on Friday, March 29 in Findlay, Ohio.

The Oilers were shut out 3-0 in the first game despite bringing the tying run to the plate in the final inning.

Blake Schmenk, Tommy Roush, Jordan Garcia and Garrett Busch each recorded a hit in the game.

Preston Zachrich pitched six strong innings allowing just two earned runs on five hits while striking out five.

The Oilers lost game two by the score of 9-1. Findlay's only run came in the bottom of the first when Ryan Rothenbuhler scored on a Victor Migliore single.

Ethan James took the loss going six and a third innings giving up six earned runs on 12 hits while striking out four.

With the losses, the Oilers move to 9-10 on the season with a 3-5 mark in GLIAC play. They will conclude their three game series with Grand Valley State tomorrow at noon.
