Oilers Score Three In Ninth For Walk-Off Win

Box Score

The University of Findlay baseball team defeated Notre Dame College by the score of 9-8 in the final inning on Monday, April, 8 in Findlay, Ohio.

Down 8-6 going into the ninth, the Oilers loaded up the bases when Victor Migliore walked, Garrett Busch was hit by a pitch, and Jon Shollenberger singled to left field.

After a Notre Dame pitching change, Michael Louis scorched a two run double down the left field line to tie the game at eight. Then, with the bases loaded again after Blake Schmenk was intentionally walked, Jordan Garcia hit a fly ball to right-center field that was misplayed by the outfielders, allowing Shollenberger to score the game winning run.

With the walk-off win, the Oilers move to 12-15 on the season. They will be back in action on Wednesday when they host Wayne State in a double header beginning at 2 p.m.
