Great Pitching Leads Oilers To Pair Of Wins

The University of Findlay baseball team won both game of their double header against Hillsdale College on Saturday, April 20 in Findlay, Ohio.

Preston Zachrich pitched a gem for the Oilers in the first game, leading his team to a 1-0 victory. He was credited with the complete game, shutout, allowing just four hits and one walk while striking out 10.

Findlay's winning run came in the bottom of the fifth when Joe Sickler scored on a Reid Rothenbuhler sacrifice fly to deep right field. Sicker and Dylan Cintula each recorded a double in the game.

The Oilers won the second game 5-2 on the shoulder more stellar pitching.

Ethan James picked up his third win of the season, allowing just two earned runs on seven hits while striking out eight.

Tommy Roush supplied the fire power offensively, going 3-for-3 with a double and three RBI's.

Alex Williams shut the door to pick up his third save of the season.

With the pair of wins, the Oilers move to 16-18 on the year with a 9-13 mark in GLIAC play. They will conclude the series with Hillsdale tomorrow at noon.
