Oilers Fall 11-4 At Lake Erie

The University of Findlay baseball team fell to Lake Erie College by the score of 11-4 on Sunday, April 28 in Painesville, Ohio.

Lake Erie scored their runs in bunches, sending six across the plate in the second inning and three in the fourth to cruise for the win.

Two of Findlay's four runs came in the top of the third when Blake Schmenk homered to right field, playing Joe Sickler who reached base on a walk.

Jordan Garcia and Dylan Cintula each had two hits in the game.

Preston Zachrich took the loss for the Oilers bringing his record to 4-3 on the year.

With the loss, Findlay moves to 19-21 on the season with a 12-15 mark in GLIAC play. They will be back in action Wednesday when they take on GLIAC rival Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio.
