Williams Earns Honors from NCBWA

Senior pitcher Alex Williams was recently honored for his performance during the 2014 campaign by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) as he was named first team all-region and honorable mention All-American.

The Perrysburg, Ohio native earned first team all-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) accolades during his junior season after setting a new single season school record by making 21 appearances out of the pen for the Oilers. He finished the year with a 4-3 record, making three saves.  He also sported a 1.70 earned run average in 47.2 innings of work to go along with 49 strikeouts.
