The Oilers took an early lead in the first game when Josh Schwerer began with a single, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Cameron Johnson, and later scored on a sacrifice fly from Chase Goulette. The run gave Findlay their first lead of the series but it would be the only run the home team would score on the day.

Lake Erie scored a pair of runs in the fifth and sixth innings which was enough to earn them the 4-1 victory.

Collin Parrill took the loss on the hill as he pitched 5.1 innings and allowed four runs, two earned, on two hits. He struck out three and walked four.

Yorgen and Schwerer each picked up two hits for the Oilers.

The second contest featured similar struggles for the home team as they failed to score in the game. Lake Erie ended up winning the game 3-0.

Austin Rodesky got the start and took the tough luck loss on the mound as he pitched all nine innings and allowed three runs, two earned, on just one hit. He walked three and struck out 10 but it was not enough as the offense remained stagnant.

Findlay will be back on the field next Saturday as they host Northwood University to begin a four-game GLIAC series. That game will begin at 1:00pm.
