Junior Cameron Johnson began the inning with an infield single and advanced on a passed ball. After a fly out, junior Josh Schwerer doubled to left center field, scoring Johnson and giving the Oilers a 1-0 lead. Senior Logan Harrah then walked and was followed by a single from freshman Casey Gould that scored Schwerer. A single from senior Peter Yorgen would plate the final run of the inning and five Findlay a 3-0 lead after three innings.
