Oilers Win a Show

The University of Findlay English equestrian team came away with a win on Sunday, Feb. 5 at an IHSA show.  The Oilers scored 41 points to edge Lake Erie College, who scored 31.

KT Steward won the high point rider award for the Oilers.

Open over fences won by Olivia Yoder with KT Steward running a close 3rd.

Open Flat phase had KT 1st, Hailee Raker 4th, Phillip Flynn 5th and Olivia Yoder 6th. 

Intermediate Over fences had Laura Schiele in 4th, Chrissie Kausrud 5th and Molly Paladino 6th

Intermediate Flat had Molly Paladino 3rd, Chrissie Kausrud 4th, Sam Magruder 5th and Jessica Ohlingher 6th

Novice Over Fences was won by Jessica Ohlinger who officially pointed up into the Intermediate division and qualified for regionals in flat & fences

Other Novice winner was Freshmen Kelsey Maguire who was 3rd in her over fences class.

Novice Flat was very competitive and UF continued to stand strong with Brittany Veninger winning her under saddle class and Kelsey Maguire finishing 3rd.  Kate Beck placed 3rd in her class and Melissa McDonald won her flat class with Dylan Horning placing a close 2nd.  Allyanne Lipkvich added a fourth place finish as well.

Walk-Trot-Canter brought more awards as Christina Brnatner placed 2nd in her class while Kayla McCarthy Won her class.

Others included a 2nd by Morgan Watkins

Walk -Trot was the final class of the day and UF's Jocelyn Miller put the final points on the board with a forth place finish.
