Oilers Equestrian Advances to National Championship

The University of Findlay English equestrian team captured reserve champion honors at Zones and will be sending their team to compete at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) National Championship, which is scheduled to take place on May 2-5 in Harrisburg, Pa.

The team will send Olivia McConnell, Bethany Ockwell, Katie Pohlman, Jessica Ohlinger, Erin Verscheure, Christina Brantner and Sarah Winterroth to the national championship as a part of their team.

Ohlinger and Melissa McDonald will also compete for the Oilers at the national championship in individual competition.

The Oilers finished with 35 points in team competition while Otterbein had 42 to claim top honors.
