Oilers Complete Winter Classic in W. Va.

The University of Findlay English equestrian team sent some individuals to Winter Classic Tournament on Jan. 25 in Fredericksburg, W. Va., taking eighth place among 17 teams.

Individually, Grace Meagher took first place in the novice flat to lead the squad.

Other individual placers are listed below:

Katie Pohlman, 2nd – intermediate over fences
Emily Gill, 4th – open flat
Theresa Shattan, 4th – walk trot center flat
Celina Ortiz, 6th – walk trot flat
Dakota Quelland, 6th – novice over fences
Brittany Veninger, 7th – intermediate flat
Madison Eichstadt, 8th – open over fences

The Oilers are undefeated in their regional competition this year and will be competing on Feb. 8-9 at the James L. Child Jr. Equestrian Complex.
