Oilers Picked To Finish 5th In South Division

The University of Findlay football team was picked to finish in a tie for fifth place in the South Division of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) as the league office revealed their annual preseason coaches poll on Thursday, August 18.

The Oilers received 36 points in the poll, which tied them with Lake Erie College. Wayne State University received 80 points and ten first place votes to finish at the top of the division while Ashland University racked up 73 points and four first place votes.

Grand Valley State University was tabbed as the favorites in the North Division after receiving 13 first place votes and a total of 85 points.
