Receiver Core Features Inexperience

The wide receiver position for the Oilers is an unknown. While the team has plenty of talent in the fold, they lack the experience of competing on a regular basis in the rugged Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

Juniors Seth White and Alex Kovach, sophomore DeAndre Sutton and red-shirt freshman Nathan Morris return at wide receiver, but have only seven receptions combined during their careers with the Oilers.

The Oilers also have some talented newcomers in Zeke Turner, Harold Jones-Quartey, Lloyd Henry, Feraris Golden, Tim Szabo, Logan Hannon and Colby Salyer who will push for playing time as well.

"We have some good athletes at the receiver position," said wide receivers coach Andrew Terwilliger. "They are talented and competing every day, but they are still young and unproven."

At tight end, the Oilers return several talented players who have contributed during the course of their careers.

Red-shirt sophomore Jaryd Brown and junior Josh Kloepfer have combined to play in 32 games during their careers with the Oilers and will be counted on to help out in both the passing and running games.

Red-shirt freshmen Salvatore DeMarco and freshmen Peter Fields and Boone Searles will add depth as well.

"We have some talented players at the tight end position who can make an impact in the running and passing games," said offensive coordinator Troy Rothenbuhler.
