Williams, Ballard Earn Honors From Don Hansen's Football Gazette

Junior running back Monterae Williams and senior defensive back Isaiah Ballard were both tabbed second team all-Super Region 3 by Don Hansen's Football Gazette on January 4.

Williams, a first team all-conference pick and the Ohio Co-Offensive Player of the Year for NCAA Division II football according to Ohio College Football, finished the season with 1,268 yards rushing, averaging 5.1 yards per carry. 

He also scored 18 touchdowns on the ground and averaged 115.3 yards per contest, which ranks 15th nationally.

The Canton, Ohio native recorded seven 100-yard rushing games on the year and added 14 receptions for 121 yards and a score.

His 114 total points scored on the year is the third best mark in school history and he know ranks fourth all-time at Findlay with 3,312 career rushing yards.

Ballard, a first team all-GLIAC selection and a second team all-region pick by Daktronics, finished the season with 96 total tackles, which included 67 solo stops.  He also led the conference as well as the nation in forced fumbles with six.

He also added two interceptions and four fumble recoveries, one of which he returned for a touchdown.

As a return man, Ballard averaged 28.2 yards per kick return, the second best mark in the GLIAC and the 11th best average in the nation.
