GLIAC Players of the Week

UF senior defensive back Nathan Morris was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Special Teams Player of the Week on Oct. 27 for his performance against Grand Valley State University on Saturday.

Morris broke a school record by returning a kickoff 100 yards for a score midway through the second quarter.  His 100-yard kick return broke the school record of 93 yards, which was set by Adam Burdette against Wayne State during the 2000 campaign. It also marked the first time a NCAA Division II player has returned a kick 100 yards for a score since Brandon Scott accomplished the feat for Central Washington University on Nov. 24, 2007.

The Warrensville Hts., Ohio native has returned two kicks for touchdowns during his career. He returned a kick 91 yards for a touchdown against Urbana University on Sep. 5, 2013.

Morris and the Oilers will be at home for the final time this season on Saturday when they host Wayne State University at noon in Donnell Stadium.
