Reaper Named to Don Hansen Team

Findlay, OH – The awards keep coming for senior football player Chris Reaper who was today named to the Don Hansen All-Super Region First Team. He will now be placed on the ballot for the Don Hansen all-American team.

The Don Hansen team carries out the legacy of long-time small college football advocate Don Hansen, who passed away at age 75 on Aug. 29, 2010. Hansen, from Brookfield, Ill., started and published Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette for three decades, selecting NCAA Division II All-America teams for the first time in 1988. Don Hansen's Football Gazette began selecting Division II All-Region squads in 2003.

Reaper, who was tabbed the 2015 GLIAC Offensive Lineman of the Year, helped pave the way for the Oilers to average 477.5 yards per game in 2015, the third best mark in the GLIAC and the 18th best total in all of NCAA Division II football at the end of the regular season. His pass blocking efforts enabled the team to establish a new school record for passing yards in a season (3,350) as well.

A first team all-American, all-region and all-conference pick in 2015, Reaper helped the Oilers churn out 273 first downs and 36.1 points per game in 2015. Their first down total led the GLIAC and ranked tenth in the nation at the end of the regular season.

The Toledo, Ohio native earned second team all-conference honors for Findlay in 2014. He was an honorable mention all-league pick in 2013 as well. In his career, Reaper started all 43 games in which he played.
