Bugeja Earns Player of the Week
Findlay, OH – Kicker Tyler Bugeja has been named as the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday, Oct. 24. The award comes following his performance in a 27-23 win over Tiffin on Saturday, Oct. 22.
In the Oilers win, the senior kicker from Royal Palm Beach, Florida made field-goals of 36 and 32 yards and was a perfect 3-for-3 in extra point tries. His 36-yard kick in the third quarter gave Findlay a 17-16 lead, their first lead and first points since allowing 16-straight points to the Dragons. Bugeja extended the lead with a 32-yard field-goal midway through the fourth quarter.
It is the first time in his career that Bugeja has earned this award and is Findlay's third 'Player of the Week' winner this season.
