Reed Named IFL Offensive Rookie of the Year

Former Oilers standout Verlon Reed was recently named the Indoor Football League Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Reed, who plays for the Salt Lake Screaming Eagles, finished his first season by completing 274-of-463 passing attempts for 2,734 yards and 54 touchdowns. His 2,734 passing yards and 54 touchdowns each ranked third in the league.

In addition, Reed, who is known for his elite athleticism, led the league with 759 yards rushing. He also scored 16 touchdowns on the ground.
