Hopkins Named Great Midwest Player of the Week

Senior defensive lineman Johnny Hopkins was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Defensive Player of the Week on Sep. 25.

Hopkins led the Oilers defense in a 61-0 shutout victory over Tuskegee on Sep. 23 at Donnell Stadium. The 61-0 shutout win for Findlay since 1994 when the Oilers took down Lindenwood by a score of 70-0.

Hopkins helped hold Tuskegee to a mere 169 yards of total offense by recording six tackles, three tackles for a loss and two sacks.

The Radcliff, Ky. native leads the Great Midwest with 3.5 sacks on the year.
