Rothenbuhler Takes Job in the NFL
Findlay, Ohio – University of Findlay Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach Troy Rothenbuhler has stepped down from his position with the Oilers football team effective Feb. 12, 2018. Rothenbuhler has accepted a position as offensive quality control coach for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL).
A 1989 graduate of Oregon Clay High School, Rothenbuhler spent seven seasons with the Oilers and helped guide an offense that reached new heights in 2017. The Oilers led the nation in first downs offense, picking up 359 first downs, and was the only team in college football, any division, that picked up 3,300 yards both on the ground and through the air. Findlay averaged 515.5 yards of offense per game, third in the country, and scored 44.5 points per game, fifth in the country.

He has been instrumental to the recent success of our football program and his effort and dedication to his players and the University of Findlay have been an invaluable asset", commented Director of Athletics, Brandi Laurita. Rothenbuhler came to the University of Findlay in 2011 after stops at Ohio Northern University, Bowling Green State University, Heidelberg College, and Arkansas State University. A 1995 graduate of Ohio State, Rothenbuhler served for two years as a graduate assistant at Ohio State University where he coached quarterbacks and tight ends.
