Spring Game Slated for Saturday

The Oilers annual Orange and Black spring football game will take place on Saturday, April 21. The event will begin at 7 p.m. in Donnell Stadium and be free for the public to attend.

In addition to the spring game, the Oilers will also welcome local area Special Olympians to the event to compete in a skills competition run by Findlay's players and coaching staff. The competition will take place at halftime.

Findlay's football team is coming off of their most successful season ever at the NCAA Division II level. They finished the 2017 campaign with a 10-3 record and qualified for the national playoffs for the first time in school history. The Oilers defeated Shepherd University in the opening round to reach the Sweet 16 before falling to Assumption College in the second round.

The Oilers averaged 44.5 points per game in 2017 and churned out 515.5 yards per contest. They will welcome back 18 players who earned all-conference accolades one year ago.
