Defense Wins 24-20 at Spring Game

The University of Findlay football team had their annual spring game on April 21 and the defense came away with a 24-20 victory.

The defense was spotted a 21-0 lead and the offense had 12 possessions to try and win. The Oilers defense was stout however and Dezujwann Robinson gave the unit an extra three points with an interception. He also added ten tackles.

Justin Ellis, Jack Trombetti and DaCari Green each had a sack in the game while Cade Rogers had five tackles.

Adam Bertke finished the game by completing 11-of-16 passing attempts for 125 yards and a touchdown while Parker Gdula went 9-for-11 for 89 yards.

Lance Mitchell had 40 yards on the ground while Demondre Blanks and Michael Campbell had 35 and 30 yards rushing, respectively. Campbell also added a touchdown scamper during the game.

Derek Lynch made five catches for 69 yards while Nathan Densel caught a 15-yard touchdown.
