Jerrell Earns Don Hanson All-American Status

Findlay, Ohio- The Don Hansen Football Committee has released the 2022 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America team. Senior Michael Jerrell was selected as an honorable mention honree.

The Don Hansen team carries out the legacy of long-time small college football advocate Don Hansen, who passed away at age 75 on Aug. 29, 2010. Hansen, from Brookfield, Ill., started and published Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette for three decades, selecting NCAA Division II All-America teams for the first time in 1988.

Jerrell, an Indianapolis, Ind. native, entered the 2022 campaign as one of the highest-graded offensive lineman in the country, earning a spot on the D2Football.com Preseason Top 100 list. He has started 29 consecutive games on the line including all 11 at right tackle this season. Jerrell was the anchor of an offensive line that helped Findlay to 28.3 points per game and 340 yards of total offense. He earned his third all-conference award of his career, after picking up a spot on first-team for the second time in his three seasons of action. 

He was also a second team selection to the All-America team by D2Football.com.
