Hyde Named GLIAC South Player of the Week

Senior guard Nathan Hyde was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division Player of the Week on Tuesday, January 18 after leading the Oilers to a pair of wins against Lake Erie College and Wayne State University.

During the week, Hyde averaged 19.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game. He also hit 56.5 percent of his shots in the two wins.

Hyde opened the week with a 15-point, six rebound performance in a 76-53 win over Lake Erie last Thursday. He then tallied 24 points, going 8-of-11 from the field, in a 73-71 win over Wayne State on Saturday.

On the season, Hyde is averaging 15.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
