Oilers Home For 15 Games
The University of Findlay men's basketball team will have 15 home games on their schedule for the 2011-12 campaign, their first under the direction of head coach Charlie Ernst.
In the beginning of the season, the Oilers will host York University in an exhibition game at 3 pm in Croy Gymnasium before traveling to the University of Dayton to take on the Flyers at 3 pm on November 6 in another exhibition contest.
The Oilers begin their regular season with a pair of home games against Ohio Valley College (11/12) and Malone University (11/15) before hitting the road to take on national runner-up West Liberty State University (11/17).
After facing West Liberty State, the Oilers return home to host Cedarville University (11/22) before rounding out the month of November at the University of Illinois-Springfield (11/28).
Findlay begins December by hosting GLIAC foe Northwood University (12/1) before playing Notre Dame College (12/3) within the friendly confines of Croy Gymnasium.
After traveling to Hillsdale College (12/8), the Oilers will remain at home for the rest of the month, playing Saginaw Valley State University (12/10), Tiffin University (12/15), Ohio Dominican University (12/17) and Goshen College (12/29).
At the beginning of the New Year, the Oilers will travel to Ashland, Ohio to face Ashland University (1/5) before returning home to face Wayne State University (1/7).
The Oilers will then hit the road to face Lake Erie College (1/12) and Wayne State University (1/14) before a three-game home tilt against Hillsdale College (1/19), Lake Erie College (1/26) and Ashland University (1/28).
A trip north awaits the Oilers at the beginning of February as they face Michigan Technological University (2/2) and Northern Michigan University (2/4) before they play Tiffin University (2/9) and Ohio Dominican University (2/11) on the road as well.
Grand Valley State University (2/16) and Ferris State University (2/18) will invade Croy Gymnasium in the middle of the month as the Oilers close their regular season on the road at Lake Superior State University (2/25).
The GLIAC Tournament is scheduled to begin on February 29 and conclude on March 4 with the Midwest Regional Tournament slated for March 10-13.
