The University of Findlay men's basketball team had trouble putting the ball in the hole during their 70-56 loss at Michigan Technological University on Thursday, Feb. 2 in Houghton, Mich.  The loss gives the Oilers a 15-5 record on the season with a 9-4 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Oilers, who average 80.2 points per game, put up a season-low point total in the loss as they shot only 35.2 percent (19-of-54) from the floor.  In comparison, the Huskies drilled 48.9 percent (23-of-47) of their field goal attempts and hit 56.2 percent (9-of-16) of their three point tries.

Senior guard Kyle Caiola led the Oilers with 13 points on 4-of-8 shooting while junior guard Aaron Robinson had 12 points, hitting 4-of-8 shots from three point range.

The Huskies were led by Mike Hojnacki's 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Ali Haider added 13 points and six rebounds.

The Oilers will face Northern Michigan University on Saturday at 1 pm in Marquette, Michigan to complete the road trip in the Upper Peninsula.
