Oilers Ranked 7th in 1st Regional Rankings
The University of Findlay men's basketball team is ranked seventh in the initial NCAA Division II Midwest Region rankings, which were released on Wednesday, Feb. 15.
Six out of the top eight spots in the poll belong to a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) East Division. Bellarmine, the top-ranked team in the nation, sits at the top spot in the first poll.
The Knights, who are the defending NCAA Division II national champions, are followed by Kentucky Wesleyan, Hillsdale, Southern Indiana, Northern Kentucky and Indianapolis. Lewis sits in the eighth spot, one below the Oilers.
Ferris State, who will visit Croy Gymnasium on Saturday, is ninth in the poll while Central State currently in the tenth spot.
The top eight teams in the region will qualify for the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional, which is slated for March 10-13 on a campus site.
