Oilers Ranked 3rd in Preseason DII Bulletin Poll

The University of Findlay men's basketball team is ranked third nationally according to the 2012-13 NCAA Division II Bulletin Preseason Poll, which was released on Oct. 12.

The Oilers ended last season with a 24-7 record, winning their sixth Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament title along the way.  They also went 1-1 in the NCAA Division II National Tournament and return all but two players from a season ago.

Junior Greg Kahlig will headline the Oilers returning players as he was named second team all-conference as a sophomore.

The Oilers will open their regular season on Nov. 14 against West Liberty State University, who is ranked first in the preseason poll.  The non-conference contest is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start in Croy Gymnasium.
