Oilers Ranked 11th in NABC Poll

The University of Findlay men's basketball team will begin the year ranked 11th in the nation as the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) released their preseason NCAA Division II poll on Friday, Nov. 1.

The Oilers won their second consecutive Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament title last year under the guidance of head coach Charlie Ernst.  They finished the season with a 22-8 record and were knocked out of the NCAA DII National Tournament by Drury University, who went on to claim the national championship.

The Oilers will open regular season play on Nov. 9 at home against Marygrove College.  The non-conference contest is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in Croy Gymnasium.
