Kahlig Named GLIAC Player of the Week

Senior forward Greg Kahlig of the Oilers men's basketball team was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division Player of the Week for the second time this season on Jan. 27.

Kahlig, who also earned the honor on Nov. 20, led Findlay to a pair of South Division wins last week with averages of 27.5 points, 5.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game.

In the Oilers 85-48 win over Ashland on Jan. 23, Kahlig scored a season-high 34 points on 11-of-18 shooting.  He also tied school records for most made three pointers and most attempted three pointers in a game as he went 9-of-13 from long distance.  For good measure, he added six assists, two rebounds, two blocks and a steal in 29 minutes of action.

In Findlay's 74-49 win against Lake Erie on Jan. 25, Kahlig poured in 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting.  He also contributed five assists and four rebounds in the victory.

The Ft. Recovery, Ohio native is ranked 14th all-time at Findlay with 1,498 career points.  He is averaging 22.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game as a senior and has helped lead the Oilers to a 13-3 record thus far.
