Kahlig Tabbed GLIAC Player of the Week

Senior forward Greg Kahlig was tabbed the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division Player of the Week for the fourth time this season on Feb. 17.

Kahlig, who has now captured the honor three times in the past four weeks, led the Oilers to a pair of road wins against Ashland University (2/13) and Lake Erie College (2/15) by averaging 28.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals per contest.  He also shot 65.2 percent (15-of-23) from the field, 58.3 percent (7-of-12) from the three point line and 83.3 percent (20-of-24) from the charity stripe in the games.

Kahlig began the week with 17 points in the Oilers 69-55 win over the Eagles.  He then closed the week with a career-high 40 points in Findlay's 79-69 win against the Storm.  The 40 points scored by Kahlig were the most an Oilers player had scored since Kyle Hunt put up 42 against Benedictine on Dec. 14, 2000.

The Ft. Recovery, Ohio native is averaging 22.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game for Findlay this season.  He also ranks ninth all-time at UF with 1,666 career points.
