Men's Basketball Climbs to 4th in Regional Rankings

The second NCAA Division II regional rankings came out on Feb. 26 and the UF men's basketball team is ranked fourth in the Midwest Region.

The top eight schools from the Midwest Region will compete in the NCAA Division II National Tournament at the end of the season.  The top-seed in the region will earn the right to host the first three rounds of the NCAA DII Tournament on their home floor.

The Oilers are one of four schools from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) to show up in the top-10 of the rankings.  Lake Superior State University, Michigan Technological University and Walsh University are also ranked in the poll.

The Oilers have a 1-0 record against both Lake Superior State and Michigan Tech this season and are 1-1 against Walsh.  They will conclude their regular season tomorrow against Hillsdale College.  The game is scheduled to tip at 8 p.m. in Hillsdale, Mich.
