UF Men's Basketball Ranked 5th in Midwest Region

The third NCAA Division II regional rankings came out on March 5 and the UF men's basketball team is ranked fifth in the Midwest Region.

The top eight schools from the Midwest Region will compete in the NCAA Division II National Tournament at the end of the season.  The top-seed in the region will earn the right to host the first three rounds of the NCAA DII Tournament on their home floor.

The Oilers are one of four schools from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) to show up in the top-10 of the rankings.  Lake Superior State University, Michigan Technological University and Walsh University are also ranked in the poll.

The Oilers have a 1-0 record against both Lake Superior State and Michigan Tech this season and are 1-1 against Walsh.

Findlay will face Hillsdale College tonight in the opening round of the GLIAC Tournament. The game is scheduled to tip at 7 p.m. in Croy Gymnasium.
