Heagen Named GLIAC Player of the Week

UF senior forward Jake Heagen was tabbed the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division Player of the Week on Jan. 12.

Heagen led the Oilers to a 1-1 record last week by averaging 21.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game in road contests against Saginaw Valley State and Hillsdale.

In the Oilers 82-75 loss against the Cardinals on Jan. 8, Heagen scored a season-high 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting. He also posted seven rebounds in the contest. He then followed with 21 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals in Findlay's 65-58 win over Hillsdale on Jan. 10.

The New Concord, Ohio native is averaging 14.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game for the Oilers this season.
