Series Information

The Oilers hold a 61-28 advantage in the all-time series against Ashland dating back to the 1910-11 campaign when Findlay won 35-10.

The Eagles came away with a convincing 80-47 win over the Oilers earlier this season in Ashland. The Oilers made only 15 field goals in the game, hitting 31.9 percent (15-of-47) of their shot attempts. They converted a mere 3-of-20 (15%) three point tries and were out-rebounded by a 42-27 margin.

Dylan Kaufman came off the bench to score a game-high 21 points for the Oilers, hitting 7-of-9 field goal attempts. Kaufman made nearly half of Findlay's field goals in the game and accounted for all three made three pointers.

Jake Heagen scored eight points to go along with five rebounds while John Staley had five points, four rebounds and three steals.

The Eagles, who shot 48.2 percent (27-of-56) from the floor, received 17 points from Jett Speelman. Ashland also hit 14-of-29 (48.3%) attempts from long range and had six players score more than eight points in the game.

The Oilers hold an 18-0 advantage in the all-time series against Lake Erie dating back to the 1988-89 campaign when Findlay was victorious by a score of 84-51.

Findlay went on the road to defeat the Storm by a score of 62-53 earlier this season.

The Oilers shot 47.8 percent (22-of-46) from the floor, but hit only 5-of-20 (25%) attempts from three point range. Findlay also converted 13-of-15 (86.7%) tries from the free throw line and came away with nine steals in the win.

Jake Heagen led the way with 12 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals while junior forward John Staley recorded 12 points and four boards.

Nick Ruthsatz also reached double figures with ten points and added four rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals.

Elijah Kahlig nearly reached double figures with nine points while Dylan Kaufman and Ricardo Smith had seven and six points, respectively.

Findlay

The Oilers went on the road and used a career game from John Staley to conquer Tiffin University by a 62-48 final. The Feb. 7 victory moved the Oilers record to 12-9 overall and 9-8 in conference play.

The Oilers outplayed the Dragons in nearly every area as they shot 42.6% (20-of-47) and held the home team to just 38% from the field. Rebounding was close, but Findlay held the edge 31-26. With these two slight advantages, Findlay's biggest statistical win was on defense as they forced 17 turnovers, which turned into 24 points.

Staley dropped in a career-high in points, scoring 20 on the strength of 8-of-12 shooting from the charity stripe and 6-of-9 from the field. The forward also grabbed seven rebounds to help lead his squad to a victory.

Dylan Kaufman looked like the perimeter threat Oilers fans are used to as he banged home a trio of three pointers and finished with 11 points. The Berlin, Ohio native also collected a pair of steals and assists.

Jake Heagen nearly had a double-double as he posted 10 points and eight rebounds in his 29 minutes of action.

Scoring nine points was Ricardo Smith, who nailed just his second three-pointer of the season midway through the first half. Smith also had four rebounds.
