Series Information

The Oilers hold a 15-9 lead in the all-time series against Walsh dating back to the 1964-65 campaign when Findlay came away with a 77-71 victory.

The Cavaliers came away with a 76-69 win over the Oilers earlier this season in Canton.

The Oilers fell behind by a score of 37-29 at the half, but battled back to take a 64-63 lead with 3:44 remaining in the game. Walsh's Jesse Hardin then scored eight straight points to give the Cavaliers a 72-66 lead with 1:07 to play.

Down six, Jake Heagen converted a three-point play to make the score 72-69 with only 53 ticks left. That was as close as the Oilers would get in the final minute of the game though as the Cavaliers closed out the contest by making four free throws for the final margin.

The Oilers, who shot 44.6 percent (25-of-56) from the floor, were led by John Staley and his 15 points. Staley hit 7-of-8 shot attempts in the game and also added four rebounds.

Dylan Kaufman, Heagen and Nick Ruthsatz each scored 13 points apiece for the Oilers as well.

The Oilers currently lead the all-time series against Malone by a 31-14 margin, winning the first meeting by a score of 86-63 during the 1959-60 campaign.
