Men's Basketball Adds 2 More to Recruiting Class

The University of Findlay men's basketball program has announced the signing of Alex White and Martyce Kimbrough. Both players will be eligible to compete for the Oilers during the 2015-16 campaign.

White, a 6'7, 225 pound center from Lakota East High School, averaged 18 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocked shots per game as a senior. He was named the Greater Miami Conference Player of the Year and was a first team all-conference pick.

For his career, White scored 1,145 points and grabbed 801 rebounds. His rebound total is the most in Lakota history.

"Alex is a hard-working, skilled big man who brings toughness," said high school coach Clint Adkins. "He is a diligent student and a great person. Findlay is getting a well-rounded individual that I know will be successful in the classroom and on the court. He will make an impact the moment he steps on campus."

Kimbrough, a 6'0, 175 pound guard from Lima Central Catholic High School, is transferring to Findlay from the University of Indianapolis where he averaged 2.7 points per game as a freshman. During his time at Lima Central Catholic, he led his team to the 2014 Ohio Division III state championship and was voted the tournament MVP.

As a senior, Kimbrough averaged 19 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists per game. He was named first team all-Ohio and ended his career with 1,068 points, the fourth best total in school history.

"I am glad to see Martyce come back home," said high school coach Frank Kill. "This is a great opportunity for him to play for such a wonderful university and basketball program."
