UF Men's Basketball Releases Schedule

2015-16 UF Men's Basketball Schedule

The University of Findlay men's basketball team, coming off of a 16-11 season that included a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division title, will open their 2015-16 campaign in Las Vegas, Nev. against Southern Indiana (11/13) and Illinois-Springfield (11/14).

After returning from their trip to open the season, the Oilers will travel to Cedarville on Nov. 18. The Oilers, who are under the guidance of fifth-year head coach Charlie Ernst (86-32), will then have their first home game of the season on Nov. 24 against NCAA Division II powerhouse Bellarmine.

The month of December begins with GLIAC play for the Oilers. They will travel to Lake Superior State (12/3) and Northwood (12/5) to begin the month before returning home to host Michigan Tech (12/10) and Northern Michigan (12/12). They will then end the month at home on Dec. 19 against Marygrove.

On January 2, the Oilers will hit the road to take on Ferris State before remaining on the road to battle Grand Valley State on Jan. 4. They will then have six of their final eight games in the month of January at home, beginning on Jan. 7 against Saginaw Valley State. They will then host Hillsdale (1/9) and Ohio Dominican (1/14) before making the short trip to Tiffin on Jan. 16.

Ashland comes to town on Jan. 21 for a rivalry game before the Oilers host Lake Erie (1/23) and Walsh (1/28). They then close the month of January on the road at Malone on Jan. 30.

Findlay will host Wayne State on Feb. 1 before facing Ohio Dominican on the road on Feb. 4. They will then welcome Tiffin to town on Feb. 6 before a three-game road swing at Ashland (2/11), Lake Erie (2/13) and Walsh (2/20).

The Oilers will have their final home game on Feb. 20 against Malone and then close the regular season at Wayne State on Feb. 25.

The 2016 GLIAC Tournament is slated to begin on March 1 with quarterfinal action. The semifinals and final will then be held on March 5-6.

The 2016 NCAA Division II Midwest Regional is scheduled to run from March 12-15. The Elite 8 is then scheduled to run from March 23-26 in Frisco, Texas.
