Oilers Sign George

The University of Findlay men's basketball program inked Chazz George during the early signing period on Nov. 11. George will be eligible to compete for the Oilers during the 2016-17 campaign.

"We are very excited to announce that Chazz George will be joining our program next," said head coach Charlie Ernst. "He is a very athletic and versatile wing, who can play inside and out. He is playing at one of the premier basketball programs in the state of Ohio and will be well prepared for our level of competition."

George averaged 16 points and 9 rebounds per game last year as a junior. He will be entering his senior season looking to help Wayne High School in Huber Heights, Ohio defend their Ohio Division I state championship. He was named first team all-city and third team all-District 9 last year.

"I believe Findlay is the absolute perfect school for Chazz," said Wayne head coach Travis Trice. "He is an explosive athlete that plays both ends of the floor and shoots it well from the perimeter. He is a young man with high character and will be an excellent ambassador to the program and community."
